Hi, I’m Ross Cadell

I have the privilege to serve as a Senator for New South Wales on behalf of The National Party. I was born and raised in the Hunter Valley, between Lake Macquarie and Cessnock. I am proud to call the Lake Macquarie area home, where I reside with my wife, Bethan, and our four children.

As a Senator, I am committed to fighting for the regions and addressing the imbalance of power between the cities and non-capital city Australia. I firmly believe in amplifying the voices of towns in regional areas and advocating for the well-being of the people I represent.

Prior to joining the Senate, I dedicated nearly ten years to the NSW Nationals.

Collaborating with local MPs across various regions, my focus was on fostering stronger communities.

From 2018 to 2020, I assumed the role of State Director.

Before my political career, I worked in various roles, including as the Special Projects Director at the Port of Newcastle, where I focused on diversifying the port's operations and the Hunter region's economy, including oversight over significant projects including a Multipurpose Deepwater Terminal and alternative energy precincts.

Additionally, I have experience in small business and sports marketing, working with the Newcastle Knights, V8 Supercars, MOTO GP, and Formula 1 athletes. Through my experiences, I gained valuable insights into the challenges faced by working families and the importance of fair representation and advocacy.

Australia’s favourite vehicles could soon be unaffordable under the Albanese Labor Government’s new carbon tax on Utes and Family Cars targeted at punishing working people to subsidise luxury cars.

Australia needs Nuclear - A clean, affordable, reliable energy future

Australia needs a balanced energy mix to deliver cheaper, cleaner, and consistent electricity. As coal exits the system, our plan is to replace it with zero-emissions nuclear energy.
